Minutes of Committee Meeting held at 2pm on 28th March 2026 at the club caravan Penrhos.

Chairmans Reports.

Farmer has confirmed he will be planting on our current field and it should be back available to us in August, but will need some work to get it close to the current standard we are accustomed to.

In the mean time he has offered us a temporary strip in the field adjacent near the gate to our current field.

Frank also confirmed that there are no reported issues with the use of the slope sites.

Secretary’s Report.

39 members have paid up for 2026 and it is acknowledged that we may get further members as the weather improves.

We have a good relationship with BMFA Cymru/Wales and they are pleased with the RCM&E article on our Bring & Fly as it helps promote RC flying in Wales.

Treasurers Report.

The club has £7467 in the bank, no other issue reported.

Bring & Fly 2026.

A decision whether to hold this event is being postponed until we have a better picture on what’s happening to flying field.

Training Equipment.

We now have both mode 1 and 2 transmitters available for training.

Alan W will explore obtaining funding from BMFA Cymru/Wales to allow us to purchase and electric balsa/ply trainer.

Mower Replacement.

This has been put on hold for now.

Container Replacement.

As this is leaking it was felt that it’s replacement should be given priority this year Frank agreed to contact local container supplier on the cost of replacing the unit.

Visitors to the slopes

The committee agreed that we would not expect visitors to the slopes to obtain club membership.

Date of next meeting.

Pencilled in as 28th June 2026, it will be confirmed closer to that date.
